Each post is a question from a journal jar. Every comment journals and shares. Welcome.
How This Works
This blog idea comes from a concept that I think is pretty cool.
Journal jars are jars that have little slips of paper in them. Each slip of paper is a question or journal prompt that gets you thinking about and writing about yourself. It's a fun way to journal!
Every post on this blog is a journal jar prompt. Use the comments to journal your story (or, for the more private people or particular posts, write them in a journal)! This way, we all journal. We all learn. A little bit of daily, quiet thought. Welcome.
Hmmm. Here are places I love and encourage others to visit and also a list of places that intrigue me to visit!
You should visit PORTUGAL because it is the oft skipped over part of Europe by most American tourists and only because they do not know what a treasure it is!! Portugal is LOVELY and the culture is rich and warm. There are a million things to see and do and, oh, such yummy food to eat! I've lived there. I love it there so much. Eu tenho saudades.
I also believe everyone should visit a third world country and see how others live to better appreciate our rich blessings. My experience in West Africa has done that for me.
Places that intrigue me:
Italy--to see the places and artwork that I've studied and loved for years! And que romantico!
Egyptian pyramids--didn't used to, but as we study them in our family, we're all fascinated!
Japan--to see places my husband has been and visit people and eat my very favorite cuisine!! SUSHI!!
You should visit Japan because it is an entirely different world, but is rapidly becoming more and more Western all the time. It's sort of sad to see the wonderful aspects of the "older" culture disappearing, but at the same time it is an extremely interesting fusion of modern and ancient (think Buddhist temples and skyscrapers). The food is fantastic, too.
