Each post is a question from a journal jar. Every comment journals and shares. Welcome.
How This Works
This blog idea comes from a concept that I think is pretty cool.
Journal jars are jars that have little slips of paper in them. Each slip of paper is a question or journal prompt that gets you thinking about and writing about yourself. It's a fun way to journal!
Every post on this blog is a journal jar prompt. Use the comments to journal your story (or, for the more private people or particular posts, write them in a journal)! This way, we all journal. We all learn. A little bit of daily, quiet thought. Welcome.
Oooh, I'm not very good at this. I don't always have the best memory (which is both a blessing and a curse).
Okay, what springs to mind for me is building a rabbit trap at my Vavo's house (oh my Vavo--talk about "patience of a saint!" I love him!!). Having gotten the idea from a cartoon, I thought I'd prop up a box with a stick attached to a string, put a carrot under it, and simply pull the string when the rabbit went under the box to eat the carrot! I remember spending hours outside "de baixo da vinha" (under the grapevine) hanging out with my Vavo, sitting at the picnic table, smelling the grapes and the grass, sitting quietly, talking . . . and waiting for that rabbit. :)
